B. To contrast man’s philosophies with God’s directives for bringing up children

C. To present biblical guidelines for rearing children in the instruction and discipline of the Lord

D. To review the basic ways that parents provoke their children to anger

E. To show the importance of parents providing biblical instruction for their children
