WHAT TO EXPECT
When you come, you can expect to have a great time while meeting with like-minded believers.
Worship
A typical service begins with 3-4 dynamic, contemporary praise and worship songs. The lyrics are displayed on the screen, and everyone is encouraged to sing along if they want to.
Children’s & Youth
We provide NURSERY and Children’s Ministry so that everyone can listen to the message without distraction, we provide a Children’s Ministry with age-appropriate Bible lessons, games, and snacks at every service. Junior high and high school youth groups are offered at both our Sunday and Wednesday night services.
What to Wear
There is no dress code at FERVENT. On a typical day, you’ll find some people in suits or dresses, while others are in jeans and t-shirts. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord sees the heart, so come as you are.
Teaching
The worship songs are followed by a message taught verse-by-verse straight from the New King James Bible.
Hub
The Hub is our one stop Coffee Shop, Book Store, Information Center and Gathering place. If you have questions, want to register for an event or like to meet others, the Hub is the place. There is coffee, water, sodas and snacks available for purchase as well as Bibles and a small selection of Christian books and resources.
Parking
There is parking throughout the complex and on Torrey Pines (west side of building) with Handicap parking available in front of the Lobby doors. Please make sure to park in designated parking spaces only.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Fervent, our heart begins with purpose: To do all things unto the Lord with love and excellence. Everything we do flows from devotion to Him, not out of an obligation but with joy.
We begin by teaching the Word of God faithfully, verse by verse and in its proper context. Teaching is more than sharing information; it is opening Scripture together so that God’s truth can be clearly understood and take root in our hearts. As the Word is taught, faith is strengthened, understanding grows, and lives are grounded on a firm foundation.
From teaching, we move into discipleship. Discipleship is a shared journey. We walk alongside one another, learning how to live out what we believe, encouraging each other in faith, and growing together into the likeness of Christ. We don’t just learn the Word; we learn how to apply it in everyday life, becoming followers who reflect Jesus in character, love, and obedience.
As disciples are equipped, we are sent to impact our communities. Pastor Chuck Smith often said, “Healthy sheep reproduce healthy sheep”. A life shaped by Christ overflows with His love, impacting our homes, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. Through service, compassion, and bold faith, we live as testimonies of God’s grace.
And our vision does not stop there. With our hearts aligned to Gods mission, we strive to reach the world with the Gospel, living out the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations. Whether across the street or across the globe, we are mandated to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the whole world.
This is who we are. This is what we do. We Teach, we Disciple, we Impact, and we Reach. In everything we do, we do for the glory of God.
