Disciple, Impact & Reach. Discover the heart of our Chapel Fervent

At Fervent, our heart begins with purpose: To do all things unto the Lord with love and excellence. Everything we do flows from devotion to Him, not out of an obligation but with joy.
We begin by teaching the Word of God faithfully, verse by verse and in its proper context. Teaching is more than sharing information; it is opening Scripture together so that God’s truth can be clearly understood and take root in our hearts. As the Word is taught, faith is strengthened, understanding grows, and lives are grounded on a firm foundation.
From teaching, we move into discipleship. Discipleship is a shared journey. We walk alongside one another, learning how to live out what we believe, encouraging each other in faith, and growing together into the likeness of Christ. We don’t just learn the Word; we learn how to apply it in everyday life, becoming followers who reflect Jesus in character, love, and obedience.
As disciples are equipped, we are sent to impact our communities. Pastor Chuck Smith often said, “Healthy sheep reproduce healthy sheep”. A life shaped by Christ overflows with His love, impacting our homes, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. Through service, compassion, and bold faith, we live as testimonies of God’s grace.
And our vision does not stop there. With our hearts aligned to Gods mission, we strive to reach the world with the Gospel, living out the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations. Whether across the street or across the globe, we are mandated to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the whole world.
This is who we are. This is what we do. We Teach, we Disciple, we Impact, and we Reach. In everything we do, we do for the glory of God.

We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is God’s love (agape), which is greater than any differences we possess. We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, and that they serve as the infallible rule of faith and practice which supersedes any contrary earthly law, which is why we teach verse by verse in all our services.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 13:34; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; 1 John 4:11; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:2; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
We believe in one living and true God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father as an infinite, holy, and sovereign Spirit who concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity, hears prayer, and saves all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, including His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, and His personal, visible return to earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin and regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers, manifesting through both the fruit of the Spirit and the exercise of all Biblical gifts.
Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2; Hebrews 9:14; Isaiah 44:8; Matthew 28:19-20; Hosea 13:4; 1 Timothy 1:7; Colossians 2:13-14; John 14:16-16; 1 Corinthians 12
We believe that while all people are sinners by nature and choice, God regenerates those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. We believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe that Jesus Christ baptizes seeking believers with the Holy Spirit and power for service, which may occur at the time of or subsequent to regeneration.
Ephesians 2:1-9; Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9-10, 5:1; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Titus 3:3-7
We believe worship of God should be spiritual and flexible, yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We believe worship should be inspirational, giving a great place to music. We believe worship should be intelligent, placing a heavy emphasis on teaching the Word of God so He may instruct us on how He is to be worshipped. We believe worship is fruitful, as the supreme manifestation of true worship is the presence of God’s love in our lives.
John 4:24; Romans 12:1; Exodus 18:20; 1 Chronicles 15:16; Psalms 100:2; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; 1 John 2:5
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: Baptism of believers by full immersion and the Lord’s Supper, which is open to all believers. We believe in the laying on of hands for the sending out of Pastors and Missionaries, and the anointing of oil by Elders for the healing of the sick.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 13:3; James 5:14
We believe that God is the Creator who designed humanity as male and female to complement and complete one another, and He instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of human society. We believe that legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage; therefore, activities such as adultery, homosexuality, and transgenderism are inconsistent with Biblical teaching. As such, this ministry will not perform or recognize same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships. In addition, we believe that the use of pornography and efforts to alter one’s physical gender are incompatible with a true Biblical witness.
Genesis 1:26-27; 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:26-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 18-20, 7:2
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, where all believers will meet the Lord in the air prior to the tribulation. We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ, the resurrection of the body, and the final judgment. We believe in a literal heaven for those who place their faith in Jesus Christ and a literal hell for those who reject His free gift of salvation.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 5:22, 18:9; 2 Peter 2:7-8; Revelation 3:10-11, 20:11-15; Zechariah 14:4-5; Daniel 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 2 Corinthians 5:10
